Mobility scooters help people with disabilities gain greater freedom in their lives. In essence, mobility scooters are a motorized version of a standard wheelchair.
Mobility scooters typically have the following configuration:
- Steerable handle bars that reside above the front wheel
- A cushioned swivel seat that rests above the rear two wheels
- A platform in the middle to rest the feet
Mobility scooters are typically powered by rechargeable batteries that rest onboard the scooter.
